1. Measured Socket & Joint Tolerances
Every aftermarket accessory crafted by TUCTAC Studio is modeled and cast to specific reference measurements. Joint peg diameters vary between original manufacturer figure batches; refer to these measured baselines when preparing your figure setup:
Engineered for standard 1/12 S.H.Figuarts, Windtoys, and compatible male neck pegs. Reference sculpt net weight: ~14g.
Calibrated to compatible wrist ball joints across standard and bulkier muscular 1/12 base bodies.
Shoes are engineered for Windtoys, Mirrfig, and Vtoys ankle joints or include adaptation wheels where noted.
2. Step-by-Step Joint Installation Protocol
Pre-Fit Inspection & Alignment
Before applying any force, inspect the joint peg on the base figure and the resin socket. Verify that the peg is clean, free of paint debris or plastic flash, and aligned along the central axis of the socket.
Thermal Socket Relaxation (If Snug)
If the socket feels tight upon test-fitting, briefly warm the socket end to soften the material. Submerge the socket opening in warm water (50–60°C) for 10–15 seconds, or apply mild hairdryer heat on low from 15cm away for 10 seconds.
Gentle Linear Axial Seating
Gently press the socket straight onto the peg with even, axial force. Avoid bending or twisting at sharp angles, which can place lateral shear stress on narrow joint stems. Stop immediately if excessive resistance is encountered.
Cooling & Posing Stabilization
Once seated, allow the resin socket to return to ambient room temperature (approx. 30–60 seconds). As the material stabilizes, it will firmly grip the peg for secure, fatigue-resistant display posing.
Never use boiling water (100°C), open flames, lighters, or microwave ovens. Excessive temperatures can permanently distort cured resin geometry or damage painted surfaces.

Dressing Your Figure
Remove head sculpt and hands prior to dressing. Guide fabric gently over shoulder and elbow joints. Do not pull violently on finished hems or seams.
Posing Integrated Wire
Form smooth, gradual curves with your fingertips. Avoid pinching the fabric wire sharply at 90° or 180° angles repeatedly in the exact same spot, which can weaken internal metal fatigue limits over time.
4. Cleaning & Long-Term Preservation
Use a dry, soft makeup brush or photographic blower to gently sweep away dust from fine hair strands and folds.
Never use rubbing alcohol, thinner, acetone, or wet sanitizer wipes on painted resin. These chemical solvents strip acrylic finishes instantly.
Keep display cases away from prolonged ultraviolet (UV) sunlight and high-heat radiator sources to preserve paint vibrancy and resin integrity.

Resin components are cast with rigid mechanical tolerances (~3.0mm–3.2mm for standard 1/12 neck sockets). Base figure neck and wrist pegs can vary slightly between production batches, factory runs, and third-party lines. A snug fit helps maintain posing stability once seated, but requires careful alignment during initial installation.
What is the recommended method for warming resin sockets before installation?
We recommend submersing the socket end in warm water (50–60°C / 120–140°F) for 10–15 seconds, or directing mild warm air from a hairdryer on low heat for 8–10 seconds from a distance of 15cm. This briefly relaxes the resin socket, reducing insertion resistance. Never use boiling water, direct open flames, or microwave ovens.
What should I do if a joint peg encounters excessive resistance during seating?
Stop installation immediately if strong resistance is felt. Never apply heavy rotational or angular shear force to a cold joint peg, as small pegs can bend or snap. Inspect the peg for flash or misalignment, re-warm the socket gently, and guide the peg straight along the central axis.
How should painted resin sculpts and wired soft goods be cleaned and stored?
